Just on TV - 12 cm high heels are touted to be very popular this
season. The current affairs show has just revealed that each
pair will cost more than A$200.
I think she failed to include the Podiatrist's treatment and
consultation fees, the cost of possible orthotics, and the damage
to the arch and heel.
After seeing my mom's gigantic bunion, and how she was in pain
for a long, long time, I never want to be in a pair of stilettos,
ever! 
I also saw this lady in 7-Eleven's one Sunday morning, when I
was on my way to work, holding her pair of heels in her hand, and
limping around barefoot with nasty, raw-red blisters on her feet,
bleeding freely away. 
She was begging for some plasters to use to
cover up her wounds. She had probably put them on to
look attractive or something, gone to some pub(s) for the whole
night, and then suffered for that the next few weeks.
